Toros Chopjian
Founder, Director of Jewelry Design & Product Development
Toros Chopjian is the founder of Motif Diamond Designs (DBA: Motif Jewelers) and currently serves as our Director of Jewelry Design and Product Development. He began making jaw-dropping jewelry designs long before emigrating to America more than 40 years ago. Toros has cultivated an acute interest in a variety of precious metals, allowing him to be an expert at gemology design and repair. He is a certified American Gem Society sales associate who enjoys golf and is active in his church and cultural organizations.
Arakel Eric Chopjian
Director of Operations
Arakel Eric Chopjian, Motif Jewelers’ Director of Operations, has been a familiar face to our customers since the age of 14. With the tutelage and encouragement of his father, Toros, Arakel Eric has embraced the education and dedication necessary to be a successful leader in the jewelry industry. He is well experienced in diamond and gem mining operations, gem and diamond cutting techniques, jewelry appraisal work, and jewelry manufacturing, as well as retail sales and business management operations.
Arakel Eric is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America and holds the coveted title as a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.). Arakel Eric is also a graduate of the American Gem Society, and holds the credential of Certified Sales Associate (C.S.A) and Certified Gemologist Appraiser (C.G.A). Along with all education and experience Arakel Eric has traveled all corners of the world for Gemological and jewelry reasons.
Fatmir Xhilaj
Director of System Controls
Fatmir Xhilaj brings a keen sense of business operations to Motif Jewelers in his role as Director of System Controls. With more than a decade of retail sales and management experience, he oversees our internal and external customer service practices, ensuring every in-store or online experience is a pleasant one. Fatmir also develops, implements, and manages internal quality control systems for consistency in established standards within our industry. He is a certified AGS sales associate and continues to pursue advanced education in accountancy.
Sarkis Arakelian
Director of Jewelry & Watch Fabrication
Sarkis Arakelian’s zest for life brings an infectious passion to Motif Jewelers. As our Director of Watch and Jewelry Fabrication, he is immensely knowledgeable in every facet of the timepieces we sell. When he isn’t tending to designs and repairs, Sarkis is often engaged in lively discussions with customers about wristwatch quality and is an invaluable resource in assisting them with purchases. Sarkis obtained his horology certification in 1998 and later further advanced his expertise through a Swatch Group certification. He is also an AGS-certified sales associate.
Jaclyn Chopjian
Custom Jewelry Advisor
Jaclyn, Toros’s daughter, has long been a familiar face to Motif Jewelers’ customers. Her keen eye for fashion and design, along with outstanding customer service skills, bring a unique skill set to the Motif Jewelers experience. A graduate of the GIA diamond, jewelry design, and technology programs, Jaclyn assists with overseeing the Custom Jewelry department and new product development. She is also responsible for all new jewelry brands into both the Milford and Taylor locations, and works to determine which products best meet market demands.
