Motif Jewelers is proud to provide professional and comprehensive jewelry appraisals conducted by our in-house CGA (Certified Gemologist Appraiser), accredited by the American Gem Society. The goal of each appraisal is to determine the precise dollar value of your jewelry, whether for insurance, replacement, estate settlement, or personal knowledge. Our specialists adhere to a strict code of ethics established by respected organizations such as the American Gem Society (AGS) and Jewelers of America, ensuring every assessment is both accurate and trustworthy.
Appraisal Services, Pricing, and Recommendations
Because market values fluctuate, we recommend renewing your jewelry appraisals every three years. Any Motif Jewelers online purchase exceeding $2,500 includes a complimentary appraisal, while large diamond and gemstone purchases may also include a laboratory grading report from institutions such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the American Gem Society (AGS). Appraisals start at $145, with “while you wait” appointments available beginning at $225. We also offer a 25% discount for appraising five or more items at once, and updates to previous appraisals start at $45. Consultations are always free.
